 I have solely planted 2 japanese maple trees in my garden and would like to advised of what other plants would look amiable planted with them?

 Any thick dirt cover would look exact,Ajuiga(sp?) this is a low growing purple and unripened leafed plant that tolerates sun or gloominess..even dry conditions cant stop this constant.It's a spreader and it blooms antediluvian summer with flowers on stubby stems. It grows well with hostas.
