When did the Chinese trees arrive the US? Which species are common?

 I suffer in South Carolina and there are many trees in my Chinese village, such as Chinese tallow, and parasol tree Chinese Melia azedarach called (or neem).

 Chinese trees are very favorite in the southern United States, the expansion of South Carolina west to Texas. They were taken to the United States as plants of garnishment in the 1800s and since they are very low class in the property landscaping.

 I hunger for to plant Chinese Elm trees to form a hedge to close off out my neighbors ugly fence and I would like to get them in the earth ASAP. If it helps any, I reside in WI.
