Hi Ian, You've selected well here. Gracilis is the first-rate Bamboo for a constricted square. I've got two growing alongside my residence and were selected for that very remonstrate with. When they are growing though in the warmer months it's overcome to keep the branch water up to them when it is very hot. Last February we had some undeniably hot winds blowing here in Melbourne that burnt the tips of the new shoots on both my Gracilis that stopped them from growing any further. Individually from that I well back this Bamboo for lucky/confined areas.
