The proper use of clay pots when planting indoor plants?

 I had a flat garden (with plants 2) which is several years old and had to be separated. I had some great clay pots, so I put each set in a clay pot unlined. I've watered and the pots feel very strongly - is that orthodox?

 When I am, I always prepare bribe you there holes in the bottom for drainage, then layer i the bottom with stones and mud. They could be a smell, because there is not enough drainage and theyre not become wise connected.

I have some clay planting pots that look very bad. I want to clean them. Any suggestions on how to clean them?

 I am unsatisfying to clean up my clay pots and I bought some more potting humus for my plants. It almost looks like mold on the clay pots. How can I dry-clean them to make them look new again.?
