What kind of berry / fruit tree is this?

 I live in Ontario, Canada and any right to buy a house in the area. In the back of the courtyard there is a tree with the bark of this spot unusual Berry / fruit or anything on. I searched everywhere on the internet and can not know what it is.

 The leaves account for him as a beech. Perhaps a beech garnishing and fruit are used to nuts.

What is the name of this tree?

 I live in Ontario Canada, it has little wicked berries, small green leaves and prong like thorns. Dismal I can't describe the leaves better since they are off amend now. I bought a house with an over grown yard last summer and prerequisite to know if its worth keeping.

 From the good of it and in Ontario I would think its a associate of the Hawthorn tree family. They are aboriginal throughout the eastern US and southern Canada, although the berries are customarily red at first and some do darken with time or if the birds let them perfect.
