Planting swamp cypress from seeds?
I collected 25 or so cypress seeds. They are like pine cones, but they are insufficient and round. I do not know if they outright or not, but they are not open. I have it on the ground around the cypress trees in a lake in southern Alabama.
I am a certified expert gardener. In college, horticulture has been my main. I was working in a nursery. In addition, I do business with plants as a volunteer at my local University Botanical Garden.
What you describe sounds very much like a bald cypress.
Is there anyway to plant a tree in a pond without draining the pond and what type. I just need some structure?
Any Ideas I skilled in it's a crazy question but the pond needs some order and would really love to have a cypress or something
If order is what you want rather than trying to inject a tree or some kind of aquatic survival like a Lilly pad or cat tails that if they get believe good can hinder you.
