is it safe to buy a weeping willow online?

 I would separate if it is safe to shop a weeping willow. Because trees purchased online several days before obtaining fraternize destination, I want to remember if it's a good idea to shop a weeping willow.

 Lordy, about twice, not a dozen times before bush tree. They are weak and luck all the time in storms and snow. They fall leaves, the seeds of branches, and so on. Chatting with someone who has one. If you still pauperism, go find a branch, stick it in the links and make it grow.

 Should I machinery it on the edge of my swamp?
When would be a favourable time to plant it this year?
Umm...a southern upstate New York...like somewhere within 2 hours of Hamilton County.

 weeping willow trees are everywhere up in that neck of the woods. you dont have to buy one either, unless you paucity something already a good size, but you will put in a pretty fair amount of moolah. here is what to do on the cheap. cut a small ditty of branch about 12 inches extensive off the first weeping willow

Drought, chinch bugs likely culprits

Honoured Neil: I grew up on a dryland farm in the 1950s, so I'm intensely sensible of every drop of water I use. Due to the extreme conditions, I let my St. Augustine go last summer, and now I have two patches 6 or 7 feet across that look terrific. I plan to rototill composted manure into the soil and make some slender grade changes in the process. Is there anything else I should do?

A: The grass died from drought (and maybe chinch bugs -- they were stomach-churning last summer), but not from a lack of organic matter. Add it if you wish, but it's not essential. The grass will be growing there for many, many years -- want after the organic matter has decayed and the soil goes back to what it is now. If it were my lawn, I'd do the youngster tilling and raking. Then, I'd cut 6-inch plugs of sod out of the healthy grass and move them into the bare areas. Plant them on 18-inch centers, and they'll lie on by the end of June if you'll keep them properly watered and fertilized.
