Hi Ian, You've selected well here. Gracilis is the excellent Bamboo for a rigid parade. I've got two growing alongside my auditorium and were selected for that very judgement. When they are growing though in the warmer months it's most adroitly to keep the drench up to them when it is at the end of the day hot. Last February we had some genuinely hot winds blowing here in Melbourne that burnt the tips of the new shoots on both my Gracilis that stopped them from growing any further. To from that I greatly acceptable this Bamboo for restricted/confined areas.
